WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST VISIT

Your first visit will be unlike any other visit you have had at a dental office.   When you arrive at our office, one of our wonderful team members will give you a warm welcome and give you a tour of the office. You will then meet with Dr. Orlando. 

You will be introduced to our practice through a comprehensive dental physical done by Dr. Orlando.  At this time you will also be introduced to the various types of equipment we use in high tech dentistry to create beautiful, natural looking smiles.   You will be introduced to “state of the art” diagnostics, care and most important….comfort.

Expect the first visit at the office to take at least an hour.   You will be asked about your overall health, previous dental history as well as your expectations going forward.   By the way…we are very proud of our punctuality.   We respect your time.

INITIAL EXAMINATION

As long as you’re not experiencing any immediate discomfort, your first visit will be comprised of a comprehensive dental physical including:

• Analysis of your teeth for decay and occlusal wear and other potential problems
• Smile analysis
• Evaluation of tissues surrounding teeth to evaluate any signs of periodontal disease
• Evaluation of your bite alignment and health of your TMJ
• Oral cancer screening

We will take digital photos of your mouth and smile.  These photos serve as a digital baseline of how you are today and will help us see changes in the future.

After your examination, we will review our findings with you. With the aid of technology, you will be able to see and understand what’s happening by viewing it on the chair-side computer monitor via an intraoral camera.  You can really see what the Doctor sees.  With instant digital x-rays, we will also be able to detect any issues not visible to the eye.  All this reduces the amount of radiation you’re exposed to, one of our long-term goals.

At this time, we will be able to recommend treatment that will prevent future problems as well as care for your immediate needs. We can also recommend cosmetic procedures such as porcelain veneers, laser whitening, or invisible braces that can vastly improve your smile. For each treatment considered, we will discuss its benefits and show you a demonstration model as well as previous patients’ before and after procedures.

We’ll be very happy to show you our “same day” porcelain system that can allow you to have the most esthetic restorations done in a few hours, saving you precious time.

FINANCIAL ARRANGMENTS

After we have mutually agreed on a plan of action, we will provide you with estimates of the proposed dental procedures. We will then be glad to help you in coordinating the timeline for any treatment as well make financial arrangements.  Dr. Orlando is here to work with you so you can achieve optimum oral health, comfort, and esthetics!
